So I don’t know about ya’ll, but I am in love with the rustic wedding theme that has been spreading like wildfire. Since it has become so popular this year, I have decided to pick a couple of the new “must-haves” for rustic weddings. Of course you don’t have to have a rustic themed wedding to incorporate any of these things 🙂
For starters we will continue one of last weeks posts abut center pieces. As I said then, varying different vases, bottles, tin cans, or whatever is super popular right now. And none the less, varying glass bottles is this year’s rustic wedding trend. There are so many ways to make this trend your own, so that is one of the reasons I love it so much. Start scouting out for cheap bottles at local thrift shops and goodwill to get some for cheap, however if you are in a time crunch there are places that you can buy them exactly how you want them. (not to mention you can reuse old wine bottles, a couple girl’s nights should help there)
Next off, we have another popular rustic trend that took me by surprise. At first I wasn’t sure about it, but now I am in love with it. Bridesmaids are wearing sweaters. It is sooo perfect for weddings that are outdoor and it is still kind of chilly. Also it gives a more relaxed feel that tends to come with the rustic wedding theme.
Repurposed items are also super popular at rustic weddings. It is fun to get creative and use old items in a new light. People have been doing it forever, and there’s a reason why it is huge this year. It is a lot cheaper than buying all new things and it adds much more character.

Finally we have Baby’s Breath. This has been spreading like wildflowers (pun intended) and I think it’s awesome, because hello it’s so cheap! Flowers for a wedding tend to be soo expensive and it’s ridiculous because they die so quickly. Now you can be trendy and not spend a lot of money.
