Mother of the Bride Ideas

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we thought it would be appropriate to brainstorm some gift ideas for the MOB (or mother of the brides). If you are behind and scrambling for a Mother’s Day present, I guess you can steal one of these ideas! 😉 Also, don’t forget about the Mother of the Groom; they deserve a gift as well!

Some of my favorite MOB hits involve pictures. There are so many things that you can do with pictures these days, and it’s so easy! Plus, what better way to recall memories than with pictures? All of my examples are from Etsy, but don’t forget about all the other online options like Walmart, Walgreens, Shutterfly, etc. They have many things that you can customize with your pictures such as blankets and photo books! 🙂

 

I absolutely love this photo bracelet. It is so elegant, and personal at the same time!

 

This picture frame is also super cute and could definitely be a DIY project if you set your mind to it! 🙂

 

Playing off of the frame idea, there is also the idea to frame a quote! This gives you the opportunity to pick any quote, or even write your own! I love this specific quote and layout because my mom actually works in an ophthalmology office and I know she would get a kick out of it.

Transitioning into some more common gift ideas: jewelry. What woman doesn’t love jewelry? You really just can’t go wrong with it! I love all of the customizing that is available these days and the fact that there are so many affordable options as well. For example, this simple initial pendant is just gorgeous! Whether you choose to do the bride or grooms initial or the last name initial, it is such a sweet, elegant gift.

I also love this necklace that comes packaged with a nice note!

 

There are so many of these cute bracelets and charms on Etsy as well, which is great because you have so many choices to pick from and can find the perfect match for you and the MOB!

 

This bracelet is my favorite! It’s so chic, and it’s something that will look great on it’s own or paired with friends.

 

If you like the idea of a bracelet, but your MOB is a real stickler and hates anything even semi-tacky, then steer clear and just go for pretty! Like this fuchsia and aquamarine bracelet from Etsy! Uh… can you say gorgeous?

 

If you want to skip jewelry all together, this customized handkerchief is super cute! (also a great idea for daddy, or even the groom!)

 

Cute gifts that can be used on the wedding day are also a good idea. For example a cute tote to carry around all of her goodies!

Or even this cute, customized makeup bag! She will love it because she can use it again in the future and it will always remind her of that special day!

If your MOB can put away a few drinks (or 10), then this might be the gift for her. Customized wine/champagne glasses (maybe flasks?) are so cute and they will love showing it off at the reception.

 

Last, but not least, we found a cute idea for those lucky few that are having beach weddings. This necklace is so cute, and the pearl and starfish make it beach chic—plus this one has an initial too! 😉
