With fall just around the corner, we are all itching to get our boots and scarves out of storage and start sipping on pumpkin lattes. Along with our usual fall cravings, we’re daydreaming of beautiful fall weddings and the pretty colors that go along with them. The deep, rich colors in different tones just pair so beautifully and the flowers that coordinate have become a minor obsession of mine! 😉
For starters, deep blues are a great fall wedding color. They can be paired with many colors such as orange, green, purple, red, or even by itself. Orange and blue is very popular right now and this specific color combo is perfect for fall because there is a variety of burnt orange flowers and leaves that can be combined to make beautiful bouquets and decor. Vibrant pops of blue or navy blue as a neutral both work for fall weddings, but if you can’t decide which would be best for you, then consider how early or late in fall your wedding is. The closer towards summer, the brighter you want to go, and the closer to winter, the more relaxed you most likely want to go.
As I mentioned earlier, orange is a great fall wedding color and it works just as well without blue as an accent color. Oranges combined with reds and yellows are sure to make a pretty fall statement or even just orange mixed in with some neutral and green tones will look very nice.
If you don’t want to go with traditional fall colors, then maybe a variety of jewel tones would work well for you! I love the deep purples, emeralds, and ruby colors. These colors are a great transition from the bright summer colors to the duller winter colors and therefore perfect for fall weddings.
Surprisingly, dark shades of pink are another great color for fall weddings. they pair lovely with other warm colors. While the deep magenta pairs so well with the fall colors, it doesn’t force you to give up a bright accent color. A pop of pink for the heels that ties in with the flower arrangements, and you have yourself a cheery, fall wedding! 🙂 Plus, who doesn’t love a good pink??
However much I love a good pink, I do understand that realistically, not everyone else does and maybe some of you would just prefer to not have any vibrant colors at all. If that’s the case, then consider using a variety of neutrals. If it’s done right, it doesn’t have to be boring and can still create a great impact. With the surplus of options for fall florals and leaves, you will be able to create a bouquet full of rich colored neutrals that screams fall! Plus nude heels are really popular right now and your bridesmaid will love you, because they probably already have a pair and that means less money they have to spend! 😉
After admiring all of these beautiful flowers and colors, I am beyond excited for fall and can’t wait to work with our fall wedding clients! I hope these fall wedding colors have been as inspirational to you! 🙂
Just because we are talking fall colors, I thought I would throw in a picture from our own Tina’s wedding. She got married in October a few years ago and she chose the prettiest purple to coordinate with her rustic fall wedding. (oh and by the way, next to Tina would be our very own boss lady aka Ginger! We sure do love these two ladies!)
