There’s no denying that there’s a lot to do when it comes to wedding planning. Between booking your venue, sending out invitations, finding the perfect band, and supporting your fiancé in all of this, it can be easy to let your looks take a back seat. We’ve created a timeline that starts from the moment you pop the question until the morning of your wedding; this will help you plan out your wedding day look, so you will feel like a million bucks for the big day!
When You Pop The Question…
When you wake up the morning after you’ve proposed to the love of your life, the stress of wedding planning can set in quickly. To stay on top of any stress or anxiety, start a workout regimen ASAP. Not only will working out help you relieve stress and feel happier, you will be getting in shape too! You can even enlist your friends or fiancé to join in on your sessions at the gym or band together to start a weeknight soccer league.
6 Months Before The Wedding…
Around this time is when you should start planning out your wedding day hairdo. Besides your suit, this will be the most important and obvious part of your look. It’s best to keep your hair similar to how you normally style it because you don’t want to show up to your wedding not looking like yourself! However, this is a good time to ask your barber about the best way to style your cut to compliment your face shape. This also gives you ample time to get used to any new products you may want to try; if you are sensitive, it’s best to stay away from products with harsh ingredients like fragrance.
3 Months Prior…
As you’re getting into the home stretch there’s a few more things you should be thinking about… Like your hair, you want your skin and facial hair to look top notch for your wedding. If you don’t have a skincare routine, now is the perfect time to start and it doesn’t have to be complicated. Washing your face regularly and using a moisturizer with hydrating ingredients is enough to get healthy looking skin. Doing this far in advance is to ensure you don’t have any bad breakouts from new products right before the wedding.
Shaving your face can be another cause of dry and flaky skin; if you’re not using a new razor and fine shaving accessories, then you will likely end up with nicks and scarring. A great thing to do a few months before your wedding is to order your shaving supplies online and then keep them until you’re ready to shave for the big day. That way there will be no questions of how old your razor could be, you know you will have new and fresh products ready to use!
1 Month Before You Say “I do”

- Whitening your teeth will help you feel super confident and ready to flash your smile to the camera all day. The easiest options for this is at-home whitening strips. You can have whiter teeth in as fast as three days, but using them for a couple weeks is better!
- Getting a manicure may not be the most “manly” thing to do, but it makes a huge difference! You will look neat and polished when you have trimmed nails that are free of dirt. If you don’t want to head to the salon, then give yourself a quick DIY manicure the night before your wedding.
